LOTO DEL SUR
CREATIVE IDEATION
Loto del Sur is a Colombian beauty brand focused on natural cosmetics, drawing inspiration from the rich biodiversity of Latin America, particularly using locally sourced botanical ingredients to create skincare, body care, and fragrance products that pay homage to traditional indigenous beauty rituals and the region's colonial past; the brand is known for its commitment to sustainability and ethical practices in sourcing and formulation.
The fashion and beauty brand owner Puig acquired a majority stake in Loto del Sur with the goal to grow Loto del Sur's presence in Latin America and internationally.
GOAL
Expand Loto del Sur into two new markets with a revamped e-commerce website and refreshed brand identity. The project focused on educating users about the brand whilst enhancing the shopping experience with improved navigation, functionality, and design to attract and retain users in the new countries.
ROLE
As the sole designer in a small team of under 10, I spearheaded the redesign of the entire eCommerce system through a white-label platform, ensuring seamless integration and a localized experience for each market.
I created and maintained a comprehensive design system that supported consistency across all touchpoints, while working closely with the brand to develop mockups and guide key decisions.
Additionally, I facilitated ideation sessions, providing valuable input to shape the brand’s direction and ensure the design met both functional and aesthetic goals.
Throughout the project, I was committed to maintaining the highest quality in design, ensuring that every aspect of the user experience was optimized and aligned with the brand's vision.
